It really is about getting and staying in control of the room. I highly recommend renting "Heckler", as I recently watched it. Some fascinating insights into heckling, the psychology behind it, and its impact on standup comedy.

Interesting. By reading the title, I thought it meant he pays for someone to come in and heckle him so he can make a joke out of the ordeal, and pass himself off as funny.

Well, turns out I got just about everything wrong there.

Amazon video is only up to make sifty some money to stay afloat. Not sure if that happens by vote ups or clicks or something, but I personally don't recomend this guy.
