Interrupting the Negotiations to Save his Campaign

Titular comment is at the end.

You really and truly have to be able to set aside all reason and have an enormous ability for self-delusion and denial... if you belive that this ridiculous stunt was anything but exacty what John Kerry said... an attempt to save whats left of his 'campaign'.

It's more amazing that Kerry talked and didn't completely derail his party candidate's entire campaign. Though, to be fair, this isn't the entire interview.

McCain in trouble? Wishful thinking on Kerry's part. Obama is McCain's ally because there's no other reason to vote for him except to keep Obama out of the White House.

Democrats--not the free market--caused this fire and now they're trying to put it out by squirting it with napalm.

QM, please explain how the democrats did that, considering that they controlled NO branches of the government for 6 of the last 8 years? This financial crisis occurred because of their actions of the last 18 months? Or because of Clinton?

You're so full of it, it's coming out your mouth.

So now Kerry is talking, why didnt he call those assholes out like this in 04 when he had the medias attention as a candidate, and why isnt Obama bringing it like this now? When dems actually do run themselves, they act like chickenshits, and you just cant do that against the torrents of lies, attacks and cynical bullshit strategies from the neocons

Fuck the two party system.
They drive this country into the ground.
They work for themselves and subvert one another at every turn: under the guise of working for the people.

I don't see a way around it. Our political system is so much more complex now than it was for the founding fathers that it becomes impossible with more than two choices. We can barely choose 1 out of 2. There really is no other system that will "work" better than this.

@BRM: Obama seems to be trying hard to not use muck in his campaign. Trying to say McCain is worthless in DC would just create more argument and confusion for voters. He's doing a good job of picking battles that can be more clearly shown to the people. For instance, it's pretty well documented that McCain said, "Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran." So he can't argue much when you call him a warhawk. Also, the current game in politics is always to blame the enemy. Dem's blame GOP and vise versa when something goes wrong. If Obama is really trying to create change, he's gotta change that.

In the 90s, Democrats bullied Fannie and Freddie into giving loans to those unable and unqualified to pay them back ("underserved" minorities and illegals). It goes back to the corrupt mantra of the socialists that there must be an equality of outcomes, thus "affordable housing". To be fair, Republicans controlled Congress in the 90s...some attempts to warn of the coming collapse were made, including by McCain, but no, nothing was done, and I can almost forgive conservatives because anyone in D.C. who stands up to the Racial Victimization Industry won't last, the "non-liberal" media and Democlowns are as relentless as the goddamned soviets.

Though both sides are complicit in this neo-communist bailout, the truth remains: the free market didn't cause this, nor was it a lack of regulation of the free market. Now the same destructive force plans to "fix" the damage. You'll have more luck wishing for a tornado to put the barn back together.

I see. So the Democrats are the ones who made all the big banks create magical derivative investment vehicles composed of hundreds of thousands of questionable mortgages? The Dems made them create these derivatives that where somehow supposed to have greater value than the sum of their parts?

Nope, you're wrong again QueerMushroom. The banks were allowed to get away with their shenanigans because of the lax oversight of the previous administration. The free market absolutely did cause this. Because the double-dealing risk-takers on Wall Street will do ANYTHING they can get away with, as long as possible, until the hammers fall and the law catches up with them. It's the business that they are in. This is why they are constantly trying to create new investment vehicles, to stay ahead of the regulatory curve.
