Insane, cheap portable burning laser!!!

This is a demo of a new laser being sold by WikedLasers. Basically, the new Casio laser projectors make the previously expensive blue LEDs come down in price. WikedLasers is harvesting the increased market demand to make what used to be a $3,000 laser available for $200! These will instantly blind a person at a mile (edit: probably not) away and burn through particleboard about about 10m. No license required. Inane. (edit: ha!)

No way this would blind someone at a mile away. It is a laser diode and the beam is 1 to 2 meters diameter at a mile away. Maybe with a lens or if you stared for awhile at near UV blue laser.

Still cool for 1W and using those 18650 LiIons.

It would be insanely easy to blind yourself or someone else with this, even by accidental reflection.
