The question is how much longer it takes to boil whole potatoes than cut ones. I agree though that the peel is the best part.

All these years I've thought that when they punish someone by having them peel raw potatoes in the Beetle Bailey comic strips that it was just a mean thing to make someone do. I had no idea that anyone would actually try to peel a raw potato.

I've done this plenty but I always scored the skins with a knife first.

It's best to peel your potatoes, that way you can be sure you're getting rid of most of the good nutrients~ Sarcasm aside, nifty trick, you can get machine peelers as well, if you don't feel like doing it yourself and you want to cook them already peeled.
