rychan - I upvoted your comment. I continue to be astonished at how many people really believe these hoaxes. I think the camera should have shown what's under the table. Why did the lid need to be tilted and come close to the table top?

I have always said I suck at tagging videos. I put it under 'science' because he is building a gadget, using magnets and magnetic fields to make it spin. I though of putting it is engineering too. Lucky I didn't.

I work at Starbucks these days, but doesn't mean I am dumb. Beleve it or not, I have a Masters degree IN SCIENCE. English is not my first language, and I suck at choosing channels. That's why all you nice people out there can change them to whatever best suits you.

I think you misinterpreted my post. I was not saying you were dumb. But it confused me because it was labeled as science but perpetual energy in quotations. This gave me the impression that you either knew this is nonsense and therefore put it in quotations OR you did not know and thought this was scientific. It is as if I post an astrology theory in quotations and label it as science or spacy because they use machines or talk about space, do you see the confusion that could cause?

In summary, this has nothing to do with your intelligence. I was just a bit confused, that's all.

I'm afraid I don't know enough about magnets to see why this would not work. Other than the fact that if it did work, we'd have unlimited free energy. Anyone care to enlighten me? Thanks!

I do not think it should be in the Lies channel. There is nothing dishonest here, only some confusion about the title and tags. The video itself is an honest "How-to" instruction for building a magnet-powered generator that will perpetually power this small light bulb without burning or exhausting any fuel. I can understand how the "how to continuously power a light bulb" might get confused and turn into "perpetual energy" in translation as the words have synonymous meanings, even though the terms do not.

To reduce confusion, I think the title could be changed to: "How to build a magnet-powered electric generator" instead of the title used on the host website. The generator is the real star of this video, not the light bulb.
