siftbotsays...Boosting this quality contribution up in the Hot Listing - declared quality by antonye.
Stusays...I was going to say it was filmed in reverse expertly, until I saw the end...no clue...
draak13says...This trick was exposed by the 'masked magician,' for the purpose of making magicians think up new tricks. This trick is an old one. All you need to do is take a full can and crumple it, then put a black piece of paper over the tab so it looks empty. Shaking the can will cause it to re-expand. Some good slight of hand lets you take the black piece of paper off, so it now looks like a full can again. Pour and enjoy.
Nicely presented, though!
LiquidDriftsays...I wonder if that black piece of paper would be very obvious to people that close.

Enzobluesays...I was gonna guess that there was something artificial about the hand holding the soda. He pretty much never moves it except slightly at the end to grab a glass.
cluhlenbraucksays...I'm sure its marker that he just wipes off with his finger. unfortunately we weren't able to see if this trick was fully importu. perhaps a gag that was placed there before he started.
half of magic tricks are done within the first few seconds. The rest is acting.

robbersdog49says...If they knew what they were looking for, yes. But they don't know what he's going to do so their eyes are just seeing what they expect to see. A lot of magic works because people don't realise things like this. When someone says 'it must have been just a black piece of paper' these people would say 'no, I was sat right there, I'd have noticed if it was!' People just assume that it can't be something like this because it would be so easy to spot. But it's only easy when you know what to look for...

Paybacksays...At :30 there's enough time and cover for a talented slight of hand to swap out cans.
As for the pre-crushed pop can... go try pre-crushing a full pop can... go ahead... I'll go grab a towel, and maybe some bandaids.
Jinxsays...That explanation makes sense, but crushing a full can without it exploding might be just as impressive as the trick tbh.
VidRothsays...I think the reason he never moves his fingers is that the can is partially drained through a hole in the side. That's how he's able to crumple it. After he's poured two glasses out of it, the liquid level is below the hole, so the can is safe to let go of. But he did a good job of selling the trick!
mizumesays...This is a well documented trick. David Blaine does it really well.
rottenseedsays...DUDE! I totally guessed that's what he did. I'm gonna go be a magician!
