Meh. It looks locked, which is good enough most of the time, provided they don't store anything particularly valuable in their dumpsters, which seems unlikely.

This. Locks are generally only going to prevent casual / opportunistic theft -- anybody that *really* wants in there would only be delayed a few seconds with a bolt cutter anyway.

Old saying, "Locks only keep the honest people out"

Although as I heard it, people do get more honest if you use better locks.

Psssh....I mean seriously...if everyone had guns you wouldn't need locks.....

While it's true that locks have a limited ability to stop people from breaking in. I still wouldn't want to be the guy explaining to the nice officer that "no, I don't lock my doors when I leave the house for the day."

The whole point was to not have people abuse the garbage bins more than steal from them, still amusing as heck.
