I'm finding A Feast for Crows to be really boring. A Storm of Swords was amazing (hope the third season of GoT can live up to it), does the 4th book pick up at all?

No.

Not really. There's a little bit in it that was good and important, but mostly it was the worst book of the series.

However, hang in there dude, trust me. A Dance with Dragons was AMAZING

I've heard the third book is being split into two seasons. I'm in favor of this because every season so far has felt extremely rushed, though they have done a great job capturing the essence of each book and important parts. But Storm of Swords is the best in the series and twenty four episodes would really do it justice.

They may also be a little worried about catching up to Martin before he's done with the next book as well lol.

I haven't read them and the second season seemed to have way too many sub plots so it felt like not a lot happened?
