Really? That's the scariest part of the ride. The slow ascent then the anxiety that eats you alive as you look at the earth's horizon anticipating. waiting. dying a little inside. breath weakening. until finally... You scream like a little girl. (Or at least I did my one time on such a ride.)

It's just fun hyperbole, but it's not like throwing a ball in the air. It's more like jumping out of a tall tree and releasing a little parachute army man, then it coming straight down into your lap instead of being moved by wind resistance in any direction away from exactly where you landed.

I love these kind of rides. We used to place pennies on our knees when riding Freefall or Superman at Six Flags, then watch them hover in front of you for a few seconds as you reached 0g, only to crash to the floor and forever be eaten by the ride.
