The Price is Right with Drew Carey

Hmm, that seemed like an unnaturally long drought to me, but conservatively assuming that you have a 1 in 10,000 change to get the price exactly right, and assuming that they film 200 episodes a year, that's 7,000 episodes without an exact guess. The probability that exactly zero people guess correctly in that many trials? .9999 ^ 7000 = 0.4965.

So is this the first person to win both showcases since 1972 or is it the first person to guess EXACTLY the price of the showcase since 1972.

Because I swear I've seen people win both showcases before without guessing exactly but within the $100 range a few different times.

This--getting it right on the nose, I've never seen before.

It's just the first exact price match since 1972, I was born in 89' and i've seen people win with 100$ or less in my lifetime.
