Ekleksays...Steve Brookstein's "Heart and Soul" album cover has now to be seen in a different light 4 years after,

griefer_queafersays..."things to unsee" is easily one of my fave new tags.
ex-jedisays...I find this kind of systematic humiliation of people by a panel of millionaires a bit hard to stomach.
budzossays...Is it even an erection? It looks like he's got something stuffed in there.
blankfistsays...He has a tiny penis.
fjulessays...He seems like a nice guy. I don't understand why are they laughing. So he has a big dick, so what.
Njalsays...haha, the reaction at about 0:30 is kind of funny
Fusionautsays...I think his daughters are more embarresed. Talk about an awkward ride home... sheesh
Paybacksays...The fuck they zoom in on his wallet for?
FlowersInHisHairsays...Humiliating it must have been, but why the hell didn't his daughters tell him he couldn't sing? They could have saved him the embarrassment.
Paybacksays...^Some of us would like to believe he knew he couldn't sing, and stuffed something down his pants as a joke.
Notice at 2:15 where he gives the mic over to Uncle Willie?

It's not humiliation INFLICTED on them by said panel or audience. They are simply given the opportunity to be on TV provided that they sing remarkably badly, wear something stupid, or stuff a dildo in their jeans. So it's not even really humiliation. Are clowns humiliated? No, they're psychologically damaged enough to enjoy getting attention for being creepy and pathetic. And as terrifying as it is, there are a lot of people out there with a clown mentality.
kymbossays...Systematic humiliation by a panel of millionaires is called 'commercial television'.

These people haven't just walked in off the street, they've been hand picked to be laughed at by the nation. A friend of mine, who is a bit of a fruit loop.. well a total fruit loop and a shockingly bad singer, nearly got on this. She's a very sensitive soul and she would have been crushed to know she was being groomed as a exhibit for a modern day freak show. I'm sure many of us have people we care about with delusions of talent, would we want them to throw themselves to a televised mob?
Even if these phycologicaly damaged people want the attention (and is it okay to laugh at phycologically damaged people, really?) we have to consider our motives and the effect on us. Feeding our appetite for cruelty based entertainment (and watching some poor sap have their dreams crapped on is just not nice) is a bad road to go down. These's been a real proliferation of this kind of show and I think it's turning us into school yard bullies taunting the weaker kids.... And clowns at least get paid, these guys don't.
