articiansays...Maybe I don't understand the context of this guys show, but why does he keep describing this thing negatively? As prototypes go, not everyone has access to the Chinese manufacturing industry, and I think it takes a pretty awesome understanding of electronic engineering to pack all that shite into that tiny frame. I thought it was impressive.
00Scud00says...I was getting the impression that this was a final product, not a prototype.

nanrodsays...I think he was pretty clear that this was not a prototype. You don't put serial numbers on prototypes. This was SN0011 and customer delivered.

bobknight33says...Deplorable job. The soldering was piss poor quality.
catsaway9says...As someone who is in the industry, yes, you do put serial numbers on prototypes. This is clearly a prototype.

worthwordssays...yah, i've worked in industry. you can have serial numbers but you cannot call it CE (consumer edition).
I've used a similar tablet in a real hospital and they were truly awful sysems, unreliable with about 20 mins battery life and terrible touch screen. The hospital probably paid millions for them and i wouldn't be surprised if the internals were as here.
AeroMechanicalsays...I'm guessing it went something like this:
Manager to software engineer: "We need you to design and build us a power supply."
software engineer: "Uh... okay."
