Duke Nukem: Forever Trailer

Kotaku: Duke Nukem Forever has a launch date. May 3. And now you all can finally see the trailer I saw of the game in September — just with some of the breasts pixelated.

I like the references to him being gone and after twelve years it should be a good game. At least they can poke fun at the fact that it's been vaporware.

Thing was, twelve years ago, I actually wanted this to come out, but now I'm just an old fart and I don't really care anymore.

Apparently the press were shown an uncensored trailer at PAX. Id imagine that its uncensored in game.

I will assume it will have an option to censor or not too like Duke3D?

Yes, and it'll have an option to merely stun the enemies instead of killing them and Duke will say "It's time to be polite and eat healthy, and I'm all out of broccoli"...

I do believe you have a selective memory. Compare with Half-Life, there's a world of difference to this.. and boobs.

Well, it's been in development since 1997, and it looks like a 1997 game. What this video needs is an epicfail tag.

I have a feeling this will sell like hotcakes to the gaming crowd who are sick of the endless parade of WWII/modern warfare FPS's. (ahem - raises hand)

As I said on Bluesnews:

My fingers are crossed for zany, crazy deathmatch again. Enough with the military shooters. I want dildo bombs, portable holes, shotguns that fire C4-tipped flechettes and a weapon they affectionately call "the Blender".

Let's not forget the laser tripmines and the shrinker and the freeze-ray

Is it just me or are all the music/soundeffects 40 decibels louder than the narrator? No matter what the volume's set at, it's really hard to hear the narrator because everything else in the video is a LOT louder.

What i like most about this is that the graphics and engine do NOT look super realistic and polished beyond belief.

Because that makes me think it relies on its game play to carry the graphics, just like the original did.
