Can't you see that she's obviously upset by the strain in her voice. Her parents seem to neglecting her as she can't express her feelings and the camera guy is obviously not helping at all. If her Grandma really loved her she would address the situation with authority and teach the child not to behave in such a way.

I have my daughter recorded on my phone doing the exact same thing, completely losing it and getting even worse because I was recording it. But at the time I had just cause, because her behaviour was unacceptable and she needed to know what she sounded like to be able to make a judgement for herself once she had calmed down. Kids get like this sometimes, especially intelligent ones who get so frustrated at not being able to converse like they want to or feel they are able too. I wouldn't call this child abuse at all, they are staying calm in the face of it, which is the stance they should be taking, if they reacted to her, then it's showing that that is ok, which does no good

Not sure why this made the front page... awful. Very few videos are worth the downvote, but I reserve mine for videos like this one.

I would not have watched more than 5 seconds had I seen it anywhere else, but on the front page of the Sift I expected some redemptive quality and wasted 2 minutes of my life hating a disturbed little girl. Explain your upvote... I don't get it.

How does reacting to this behavior show that it's okay? I think doing nothing shows that's it okay, which is exactly what I see in this video.

Don't confuse an upvote with approval. It's voyeurism, pure and simple. It doesn't need to be more than that.

@Xax

Because if you react angrily to angry behaviour, it just exacerbates and shows the kid that that's acceptable. MINK is right, this is probably learnt behaviour, whatever the case though, this is not cut and dry demonic kid, it never is.

Upvote because it's worth people seeing and commenting on it

"Don't make me madder!" seems rather impossible.

The grandmother should have swatted the brother for making things so much worse.

I wonder how their parents would feel if they see that video after it gets a billion hits on YouTube.

Why is it worth seeing and commenting on? There's no backstory, there's no depth at all to what's going on here or why the girl is so hysterical. All I see in these comments are bunch of people either cracking jokes at the girl's expense or making broad generalizations about her and her family. Shuac had it right the first time--it's voyeurism plain and simple.

Clearly this was posted by her brother just to piss her off even further--having siblings myself I can totally understand that from a 16-year old perspective embarrassing your sister online is probably hilarious. But as an adult I recognize it as just immature and stupid. I refuse to reward such actions with an upvote.

The girl is screaming for discipline. If the mom/grandma was any parent at all, she would have provided that before she reached this level. Allowing brother to post this on youtube, only alienates her further.

That being said.. If I were a teenage sibling frustrated at a baby sister for behaving this way.. I would have put the entire family's crap on yt by now. Is it wrong, of course it is.
Boy I wish I had youtube when I was kid. I would have made my brother's life miserable This brings tattle tailing to a whole new level!

Damn, that's just like my younger sister.

Not for the video, but for the debate it brings. All comments are worthwhile, because that generates even more debate. Communicating makes the world go round as far as i'm concerned. So you keep your upvote, and i'll give mine
