pyrexThe plow looks a bit like a cylon, heh.
silvercordUnbelievable power drain.
old_spidersays...Yup, modern tracks don't offer much in the way of surface contact. If the ties were wider on top and they had the engines fitted with wheels that let them use the extra surface that snow wouldn't have been any difficulty.
BillOreillyWhy don't they just use 4 wheel drive. I'm confused.
CaptainPlanet420Bill, this calls for serious thought. Let's not be hating on trains.
southblvdo rly?
AlakWe have a train plow here in canada that resembles the machine that they used to carve the tunnel from england to france. Its a giant snow thrower. It is absolutely insane to see in action. It throws snow at an unbelivable rate, and really really far.
However, they only bring it out like twice a decade.
budzosAlak if you find any images or web pages about it, please share. I love strange and lumbering machines like this.

Nebosukesays...It's great how you can hear the jet turbine wind down. All that power and no way to put in on the tracks.
Can't they just back the thing up using one of the read locomotives?
karaidlMother Nature does not want the consumer's goods to be delivered today.
leeweeki love the end
" so they are just gonna bring more engine?"
.... "yup."
