newtboysays...I thought Speedy was being used to disprove the racial stereotype that all Mexicans are slow and lazy when I watched it. He IS Mexican, and he's not slow or lazy by far, nor is he dumb.

There are also some insulting American stereotypes presented in them, though. The cat was often an American border guard, and always a moron. Just saying, it wasn't purely one sided, but by today's standards, it was purely inappropriate, especially for children.
