rich_magnetFox News sooo.... True? Unbiased.
MordhausIt was the one video I could find that summed it up well. You can read more here: https://www.news.com.au/technology/innovation/inventions/china-looks-to-bolster-surveillance-network-with-birdlike-drones/news-story/fbef8af0169a08cb6

deathcowWe just got back from there. There are cameras everywhere. It's weird they would bolster it with bird like cameras when there are cameras all over every park, street, subway.
newtboySince one of the "drones" is a 1970 era flapping bird wind up toy, I think they might be confused in their reporting. I know, that never happens at Fox.
I have no doubt they are working on ornithopter drones, I have serious doubts they plan to use them for daily surveillance of ordinary citizens in the near future, especially since, as mentioned above, they already have pretty comprehensive surveillance today, and this program is in it's infancy according to the report.
diegoamericans still trying to paint the big bad commies as the pioneers and champions of mass surveillance and mass incarceration. I guess its harder to sell the "they hate us for our freedom!" line if people realize they arent any more free than anyone else.
siftbotMoving this video to Mordhaus's personal queue. It failed to receive enough votes to get sifted up to the front page within 2 days.
