Childhood Obesity: Break the Habit PSA

Childhood Obesity is a crisis of monumental proportion.

This remarkable commercial will hopefully raise awareness of this form of, what some might call, child abuse.

The Youtube Description:

"A commercial made to raise awareness in a current social epidemic and to draw attention to those whom the artists believe are most responsible in a bid to drive discussion and action to reverse the downward trend."

At what point will people realize spending so much time and money blaming McDonalds or whoever else will not change anything so long as parents continue to happily, and ignorantly, feed their children crap. If you continue to happily feed your kids foods bloated with HFCS, why or how will anything change?

If I had the privilege, I would self-promote this. I believe this is important.

Brilliant! I'm very impressed with this, something needs to be done. As a fatty myself and a parent, I have done everything I can to ensure my children don't end up overweight, my daughter certainly has the propensity to.

It's not just the health implications but the social and emotional ones too. Why anyone would allow their children to become fat, just because they want an easy life is absolutely beyond me. Or whatever other reasons they may have...

You're handing them a lifetime of bullying, insecurity, health issues and an endless struggle to lose the weight. It may seem over the top to say it, but yes, I really do believe it's child abuse in the form of neglect.

That's a very strong PSA. I don't know why overfeeding your kids isn't deemed to be child abuse when so many other ways of harming them is. People villainise the fast food places as if they're tying down the kids and force feeding them. They aren't. If you have fat kids it's your fault. The more people realise this the better.
