hee hee huh.. see it's not under the chair. Didn't he walk around the audience 'looking' also? Or was that another event?

How arrogant to you have to be to think this would be a good idea? Do your handlers do this as a joke on you, to see how dumb you are... I don't get Dems, they could just buy national air time and run this clip everyday for a month.

He made this 'joke' at a time when the US had 1,000 casualties and 9,000 wounded. Did you know were up to 2,600 dead and 20,000 wounded in Iraq. (oddly, only 300 killed in Afghanistan)?

What an appreciative audience, though. The lapdogs are eating it up.

However, similar to the Conan LOST parody, I don't find this bit offensive or in poor taste. He is mocking himself after all. Are all WMD jokes off limits?

00:01 - 00:50, blankman lol!

personally, i don't think the president should shamelessly joke about an issue he perpetuated. WMD's were his central focus and cause for initiating a war that has ended thousands of innocent lives needlessly. it's tasteless and disgraceful to a large number of people, not only americans.

sorry, i just found nil humor in the president's self-depricating humor (regardless that this was well over 2 years ago). i liken it to a slap in the face.

I just can't understand how anyone thought this was funny.

I think a better slideshow would have been "Mission Accomplished?" and a picture of him putting the last puzzle piece in a puzzle. And then another one showing him tying his shoes.

The Man with the Big Ears kills terrorists. The appeasement pollster before him with pu--y on the brain did nothing to defend us for 8 years while our islamofascist friends prepared for war. Saddam's WMD are hidden in Syria. The Man with the Big Ears also made better grades than French Kerry.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- What was meant by President Bush to be a joke about the search for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq has brought little laughter to some Americans.

During the annual Radio and Television Correspondents Dinner this week, Bush presented a slide show of quirky photographs from inside the White House. In one, the president is looking under furniture in the Oval Office.

"Those weapons of mass destruction have got to be somewhere," Bush joked. "Nope, no weapons over there ... maybe under here?" (Bush pokes fun at himself at dinner)

Democrats have seized on the matter, calling it astonishingly insensitive when Americans have died for their country in Iraq while the search for WMD has turned up nothing.
