Boy Suspended For Drawing Jesus On Cross

The kid shouldn't have been sent home, but I think psychological evaluations are totally appropriate for children who are regularly subjected to religious propaganda.

Cuz, yeah, a guy nailed to a peace of wood is pretty creepy, and it would not be acceptable to any of these people in any other circumstances.

its blatent that the kid was just dawing it becuse its what u sell all over the place in a christain socity.

but still dead guy on a cross is quite cultish , I mean what if he drew dead people hanging from trees, or witches burning , or a guy getting head cut off with a gulatine.

ether way you cannot be ignorant of the idoitic cultral context that most people were probably christain in that country , so you should just explain to the kid how others might think its weard , but also accept that kids will draw pictures of what they see or are told about.

I remember one time in 3rd grade we had to listen to music and draw a picture of the first thing that came to our minds. I drew a duck running to take off of a crocodile's back like a jet would take off of an aircraft carrier. Kids just draw random stuff at that age.

It is kind of weird to me that a picture of jesus on the cross was drawn. I don't think ever in the history of random doodling or conscious attempts at artwork have I ever drawn jesus, jesus on the cross, or anything of religious nature.
