Exactly, it breaks the flow of the interview and tends to make people clam up. Chris Mathews isn't helping with his constant interruptions either.

Weird, I was going to comment that Bill should've asked Chris for one of his Jolly Ranchers. Well-hydrated indeed.

More and more interviews are conducted over satellite, but nobody seems to know how to fix the lag. It drives me crazy. At some point I'm going to stop watching those types of interviews.

If he wants a secular president, Maher should be voting for McCain. I've never seen a presidential candidate who showed less interest in faith in my lifetime. I know it's hard to see that given the loudness of Palin's faith, but it's not hard to see that McCain is secular in all but name.
