He makes a great point that's often missed with 'how are we 'the land of the free', yet we have more people, and also more per capita, in prison that ANY other country'?
He did miss the follow up that should have gone something like ... 'How are we 'the home of the brave' when most of us are terrified of silly, barely dangerous things that hurt few if any people, but are conversely willing to ignore actually extremely dangerous and deadly things if they make us money or support our political stances'?

Well, I guess no one ever called us 'the country of the rational' or 'the United States of the sane'.

Maybe Bernie doesn't have the solution to that problem, but at least he concurs that it is a problem.

as a non-american, I really hope Bernie Sanders wins. You guys really need a sharp-left turn for some course-correction. Nobody's asking the US to become a communist state, but for fuck's sake. In some aspects, the US is barely a developed state, let alone the "leader of the free world".

Last week I had the frightening realization that we're finally electing the person we've needed for so long, right on the cusp of WW3.
I have hated America's dick-wagging my entire life. The country disgusts me on the whole, but if Russia's behavior continues to escalate, we honestly, truly, depressingly, sadly need something like a Trump presidency to survive that. I think a socialist-leaning president is exactly what Russia's been waiting for, and I'm really afraid this is going to get so bad for everyone from here on out.
Just sharing thoughts. On the whole I absolutely agree with you 100%, and have wanted to see a more level-headed government for a long time.
