some very good moves early on though; was very tight racing through Cutting and Griffins Bend.

I was kind of wondering the same thing; it's a real wolf-among-sheep situation. Still, some of those passes were well done and very gutsy. What track is it?

That's nothing really special. I do that same commute every morning to work.

I just can't get an appreciation for racing. I've never driven at those speeds, so I don't know how much skill it takes.

My sis almost bought one of those, they are surprisingly affordable cars. But yeah, I'd take the Esprit as well. The Elise is sexy as hell, but its no supercar.

That gearbox doesn't sound too great. But awesome driving.

I had already decided (prior to this video) that if I have a mid-life crisis car, it will be a Lotus (or maybe it's electric understudy, the Tesla).

The driver used to be the editor of a magazine in australia called "fast fours" - i believe that race was also a reverse-grid race.
