Attempted Bicycle Theft At Gladstone Police Station

An Oregon man was arrested for trying to steal a bike from right outside the Gladstone police station.

The man pulls out what look like bolt cutters to free the bike, when a police officer from the station walks through a door and approaches him. The officer puts his hand on the man's chest, confronting him with a Taser until another officer shows up to help subdue him.

The suspect was identified as 26-year-old Adam Valle, reports ABC News.

"I have not actually seen something that blatant because the officers were inside watching on video camera," Sgt. Carl Bell of the Gladstone Police Department told ABC News.

Honestly, I was as surprised as he was that the cops intervened in a bike theft. Must have belonged to the cop that stopped him.

Most cops seriously could not give 2 shits about bikes being stolen in front of them. It's not their job to deal with bike theft; it's an insurance issue. I bet this guy doesn't even get charged with attempted theft.
