Understanding Mr. O'Reilly is much like understanding Fox News. If you remeber the majority of their audience has the follow values, you will always understand why the stuff that comes out of him and his guests is ually baloney.

A) It's audience holds a 6th grade education. Some hold more advance levels like 11th grade.
B) Need to be more conservative, then plain-old conservatives. But are not neo-conservative, since they cant be terrorists nor instigators/agitators of violence.
C) Anything that is to tough to understand, must not be important, or a liberal lie. Global Warming is a good example, since one needs a fair amount of knowledge to understand the issue (see point A, for more detail).
D) Facts that support a liberal viewpoint, are automatically false, and cheap propaganda. While incorrect or flimpsy evidence that supports a conservative's view point, is of course, the truth.

Fox is and always has been propaganda for the xenophobic theocrat.

People like this man is the reason why this world is going the way of the toilet. You can link this kind of ignorance/pseudo-intelligence/lack of common sense/fearmongering/lying - to every single stupid decision made by anyone, anywhere. I suppose there's another few kinds - like ruthless violence for example, but this guy about covers it.

I'm going to make a new civilisation based on common sense. It'll probably be cast off as a cult, but i assure you it's not a cult. We'll pool our money, buy a reasonably large island and make it reasonably habitable, then start again without creatures such as this man and the politicians which try to curb our lives. Anyone who wants to join has to be interviewed by me and a few others who i deem to be also morally incorruptible. To live here you must have grasped that you only have 1 life to live and you don't get your name on a scoreboard when you die for how much money you had, or how much power you had. You must know that you owe it to yourself to get as much enjoyment and fulfilment out of your ONE life as possible. As such, there will be no serious crime and the punishment is banishment from the island anyway, and if we all work together, we'll be able to have guilt-free worry-free street (or maybe jungle at first) parties every single night. Any petty squabbles will be solved by my panel of 2 other people who are also blessed with top level common sense and moral conscience, so you can rest easy that anything can and will be resolved in the most obvious and non-rediculous fashion.

The part about guns is true. People in Europe are more about the knives. Which is still dangerous but somehow it didn't effect my mind as much when I was over there. Though I have never been to Amsterdam.

This is very reminiscent of his claim that Canada had a higher life expectancy because the US has 10 times the people and thus 10 times the accidents, 10 times the crime, etc. (Or something like that). Is his grasp of statistics really that bad, or does he just hope to befuddle the audience by saying it in a way that makes it sounds like he believes it?

Anyway, this guys defense of Amsterdam videos are nicely done. I've always thought of Amsterdam as a nice European city that I might like to visit some day, so I guess I'm not the intended audience.
