Alizée with J'en ai marre (the live sexy version)

This dance is famous. This is the performance from which Blizzard took the nightelf dance for World of Warcraft. I like this version much better than the official vid in the glass box. I will put the lyrics in the comments (original french and official english version), not that I think most viewers are most interested in the lyrics.

In English, the song is called, I'm fed up

Bubbles and water
Legs up for hours
My goldfish is under me
To bathe for hours
Makes my mouth water
I'm foamely ecstatic
It's not a problem
I lazy 'round
Bubbly and stubborn

I lazy 'round
Melon and water
Is just a dream
It makes me wonder
Is it a sin?
Bubbles and water
Legs up for hours
Bombs, you keep away from me!
Today lying low
Twisting up my toes
I swim in such harmony
So what bothers me:

Chorus :
I'm fed up with loneliness
With my uncle overstressed
Fumbling, crawling for something
That never shows, just a dream.
I'm fed up with creeps crying
Over the past, such a sin
Not to be cool, but a fool
If I could mess up their rules.
I'm fed up with your complaints
Baby, well I'm not a saint!
Fed up with the rain, the plane
That makes me throw up again.
I'm fed up with all cynics
Bathing caps and all critics
I'm fed up with being fed up! Poor me !

Bubbles and water
Legs up for hours
My goldfish still under me!
Delight of pleasures
Aquatic treasures
A place out of misery, my fantasy

J'en ai marre

J’ai la peau douce
Dans mon bain de mousse
Je m’éclabousse
J’en ris
Mon poisson bouge

Sismiques
Je me prélasse
Et me délasse,
C’est mon état aquatique
Y’a comme un hic

Shame about the bar at the bottom. Also, once I noticed the hugeness of her forehead she became less attractive. Hey, on the internet, everyone's a perfectionist.

I have a vid of the same event with no bar, but the video is much fuzzier. I chose the bar--at least partly because I found it interesting.

And that forehead is all brains, man. Don't you love a woman with a nice butt, a sensuously writhing body, and A GIANT SEETHING BRAIN?

I remember seeing this song on here before and totally forgot the title or artist. The music is great by itself, and when you throw a total cutie into the mix, how can one not upvote?

Whoa, I did not know that this was the night elf dance.

I think she needs backup dancers. Kinda awkward to see one small French girl dancing around in such a huge stage, and I doubt those guys with guitars were actually playing anything

BTW, what does she mean by this:

"Legs up for hours
My goldfish is under me"

????

Oh, they were playing, they just definitely weren't amped. An unmic'd acoustic playing with some distortion on it during the chorus? Not a chance.

Also, massive lol at some of those stoic expressions in the audience.

For the win.

The english version is not a direct translation. The first french stanza sounds to me more like:

I have sweet skin
in my bubblebath
I'm splashing around
I laugh
My red bathtoy fish moves
in my bubblebath
I snuggle with him,
and I tell him...

But when I bathe, I put my legs up on the wall over the faucet (but I'm too tall to fit into a normal bath).

I'm massively confused about the lyrics here. Either you guys are pulling some kind of prank on me or maybe French lyrics really are that suggestive?

18-year old French pop diva Alizée Jacotey is featured here, live on March 3rd, 2003. This performance is dedicated to the memory of Laurette Fugain, a young woman who had died from leukemia in 2002. Alizée was part of a live performance that was for charity work, encouraging people to donate the precious gift of blood & to raise money in the fight against diseases of the blood. The mother of Laurette, Stéphanie Fugain, was in attendance for this show, featured here at 3:57 & at the very end, 4:17
.
Alizée has an extraordinary reputation for selflessness. She offers a great deal of her time & energy towards charity work, helping in the fight against hunger as well as raising awareness for blood donations & the fight against blood disorders.
.
This was one of only 6 appearances where she wears her unforgettable short skirt dress, knee-high boots, & thigh-high black stockings while performing her smash hit song, J'en Ai Marre. This performance was done en direct live on French HDTV .
.
The music is composed by legendary composer Laurent Boutonnat while the lyrics are written by famed French singer & cultural icon, Mylène Farmer.
Alizée's popularity, thanks to spectacular performances such as this, has spread far beyond the borders of the great French Republic. -yt

Ok, there is something wonderfully and touchingly French about this being a tribute and cancer fund raiser for a young woman who died of Leukemia.
If in no other sense, for all the futures she never got to live as a young, feminine, French woman---
Bravo.
