What resolution would that be?? And what kind of crazy supercomputer would you need to run Crysis decently with that thing?

I believe it's 2880 x 900, which is equivalent to two 24 inch panels at 1440 x 900. That's less than 3 megapixels, compared to the resolution of the Dell 3007 which is 2560 x 1600, or 4.1 megapixels.

Crysis runs like butter at 1440 x 900 on my system. I tested it at that resolution but was actually able to play through the game very smoothly at 1680x1050 with a mix of medium and high settings. I tried maxing it at 2560 x 1600 just for fun and I got about 8 - 12 fps and my video card fans spun up like they were trying to put out a fire.

At this point I think the only systems that would handle 3 megapixels in Crysis would need a really fast multi-core CPU with two 8800GTX video cards in SLI.

(I have X2 4400+ CPU, ATI X1950XTX CF Master in Crossfire mode with X1900XTX, running XP)

this is just a prototype, and while the screen separation is visible now, alienware says it will be virtually invisible when the product is completed.
