Al Franken uses his minimal question time at the hearing to call out nominee Tom Price for repeatedly using his position to illegally buy stocks at a discount and buy stocks in companies that he's then authored legislation to benefit the company he's invested in, and gets pretty lackluster answers. Even if what Price says is true, and that's nearly impossible and totally unbelievable, he still has a clear appearance of impropriety which should disqualify him for any public office...but not to Republicans, clearly.

And yet, the incredible, unbelievable, assertion that he was not aware of his own unethical misuse of his power will not in any way affect his confirmation.

You can feel bewildered, incredulous, dismayed, confused, disheartened, angry, sad, purple or carrot...but you cannot stop this train.
