rychansays...That's super annoying to watch.
siftbotsays...Moving this video to Zonbie's personal queue. It failed to receive enough votes to get sifted up to the front page within 2 days.
Zonbiesays...*promote
siftbotsays...Self promoting this video and sending it back into the queue for one more try; last queued - promote requested by original submitter Zonbie.
kronosposeidonsays...Wow, that was like totally life-like! It almost looked like a crappy homemade film of someone's pet scorpion. The future looks bright.
Zonbiesays...If you can simulate a crappy handycam and the camera fx then the possibilities are endless!
actually, doing this with shaders and fast hardware, in realtime is very impressive the loss of focus, auto depth of field and motion blur are all excellently done here, making it very authentic...in real time
it look annoying but thats a better response for this piece than "it looks wrong and fake"
kulpimssays...24 seconds of my life... gone forever. well, at least it wasn't FAKE!!!
spoco2says...There looks to be some impressive rendering there, but I can hardly tell for the amount of cuts to black there were.
Why the hell did they do that?
Friggen annoying.
Still, it's made me want to hunt down a proper version of this to look at.
Zonbiesays...i agree with the too many cuts thing its that "demo syndrome" where the highlighted effect (realistic rendering and rendering method) are ott!
deathcowsays...fake without a glimpse of wireframes
braindonutsays...^ agreed.
And YouTube isn't exactly the kind of quality you need to get an idea for how convincing the graphics are.
NicoleBeesays...Yes.. One aquarium, log and scorpions worth of polygons? It would be nice if that level of detail was scalable for an entire scenes worth..
