Rick Santorum Argues With Student Over Gay Marriage
"The American Pshychological Association is not proof of anything"
She should have answered: "The Catholic Church and the Bible agreeing with you is proof that you think the same as a racist, bigoted bronze age sheep herder."

"Let them eat cake!"
What I find disturbing is that the rich and their marketing department are as removed from reality as France's pre-Revolution Aristocracy. They simply do not see that this could erupt and end in them not losing that third villa on the Bahamas that they only ever visited once but maybe even get them close personal experience with the invention of Dr. Guillotin.
Malaria Parasite Invades Human Red Blood Cell
Oh look, someone with a "The Invisible Hand Of The Market will sheperd and protect us all" attitude!
Your argument is self defeating: Quinine has been in use for a very long time and no really better drug has been discvoered. Yet "there are more than 225 million cases of malaria, killing around 781,000 people each year according to the World Health Organisation's 2010 World Malaria Report, 2.23% of deaths worldwide. The majority of deaths are of young children in sub-Saharan Africa. Ninety percent of malaria-related deaths occur in sub-Saharan Africa." (From wikipedia)
I don't know of a single death from Erectile Dysfunction that could have been prevented if Viagra would have been invented earlier.

And since there is way more money to be made from giving old white guys a few last boners than saving millions of por people from malaria, we still don't have one effective drug against it.
Three cheers for privatizing the medical sector!
Oh look. Someone with a anti-rich, anti-white guy rant. I mean it's not like we haven't been using things like Quinine for nearly 500 years to treat it or anything, and it's not like europeans didn't figure out what worked or anything.
Cheers. That "private medical sector" did just fine.

M1 Accident: Guy films people blocking the emergency lane
"On the continent" (British english for continental Europe), the biggest problem with emergrency vehicles seems to be that people can't grasp the fact (that they have all learned in driving school) that
a) if you are standing in front of red traffic light and you have an emergency vehicle behind you you are _legally required_ to drive past the red light and make room and that
b) you are not allowed to take the opportunity of the open lane behind said emergency vehicle and follow it.
Although it may be asking too much, seeing that most people don't know how to sort it out when two lanes converge.
Battleship the movie!

Craig Ferguson makes science writing fun, interesting & sexy
That was my point. Fluids are incompressible.
Unfortunately, those bad analogies seem to stick in the minds of the physics lay-person. Just think of the mother of bad analogies: Schroedinger's Cat. The particle may be in a undecided state between "life" or "death", yet the cat certainly isn't. It's either alive and very pissed or dead as a doornail.
When explaining science, avoid analogies whenever possible or clearly mark them as such and point out their deficiencies.

Sexy SciFi Costumes at WonderCon (Nerd pr0n!)
That's Roberta, Robin's sister. She's so lame and always hangs around the Bat Cave. There is a sign over the door saying "No Stupid Girls allowed". A BIG sign. Mommy won't let me throw her out and insists that we let her play too.
But I'm Batman!

Hot Renaissance Festival Violinist
On the "Renaissance Fair" scale:
Song: modern
Instruments: modern
Clothing: pure fantasy - "Lord Of The Rings prostitute" meets "Jack Sparrow"
Rating: perfect fit for a renaissance fair.
I think I have to wear a Mr. Spock costume for that.
Kids, don't do drugs and then walk up a gentle slope
Filming the guy in his troubles, laughing about him, not helping when he stumbles onto the street, not even calling an ambulance or the cops for a clearly helpless person and hiding the camera when he looks over:
real classy.

priceless!
10-Year Old Releases Demon of 55-Year Old Opera Singer
@Abel_Prisc: I might have overreacted a little there, but I was reacting to the title of the Video "10-Year Old Releases Demon of 55-Year Old Opera Singer" and the general hype surronding "amateur" opera singers like Paul Potts (who had some professional opera training by the way) and the like.
To quote myself: "Considering she's just ten, this is an amazing voice"
