For people who understand the dimensions, yeah it can seem a bit unnecessary, I see what you mean. However this world of ours is in pretty dire need of scientifically and rationally minded people and if a video like this has a chance to help some 13 year old browsing the site understand and love science more, then I'm upvoting.

Personally I'd file this under trivial information, not education. I see what he's saying, I just don't understand why anyone would care what we call the dimensions, but that's me shrug . I get annoyed when people misuse words like "addicting" or use phrases like "could care less" and that can be seem as pedantic by others

I feel the fact that he was 'investigated' just for having legal gay porn because he was a priest helps make this an equality issue. If a scientist or a doctor makes the same gaff, they don't get investigated. Priests and teachers are suddenly assumed to be predators because they engage in something that pretty much everybody engages in. Even if it was straight porn this would happen.

How is that not an equality issue? Even putting aside the gay rights issue.

I dunno, I upvoted because it looks great, and we really need more mech games... But there's really not much to distinguish between the terrain and the mechs. During the combat, all I see is blurry metal buildings and the HUD. The HUD being the only thing you can really target with. Visually it looks great, until you start to move. I would get bored of that honestly.

I want to play this... Alone, in my room, at night with nobody aware of it and Live turned off

i'm not sure that will be the case. i think they're going in the WoW direction and catering to both hardcore and casual gamers. plus i'm not sure how the linked account system is going to work, but from what i could gather, you can pretty much pay for your game time through your AH transactions. if you decide to go that route anyway.I really hope they don't turn this into an at-home arcade where you have to put in money to continue playing...



You need to do a bit more research I think...

There are no monthly fees to the game, so there's no "game time" to pay for. And the auction house real money thing does NOT need to be used to play the game at all... In the effort to combat out of game transactions that lead to MANY people being scammed and breaking eula, Blizzard found another way to make some profit, yes, but it does solve that original problem (Or go a long way towards eliminating it anyway) But I'm pretty sure most people enjoyed Diablo 2 without buying things from other players, they will do so here also.
