In related news... Joe Arpaio, the reporters in this piece, the Tea Partyers, Mike Zullo, and the submitter of this video are all morons.

I've seeked the advice of experts. And you're an asshole.

Listen here, Soy Latte. I've been a user of this site since the first day of its existence- now over 6 years ago. I've submitted hundreds of videos, voted thousands of times, made many hundreds of upvoted comments and banned dozens of probies.

Take anyone who has been here as long and contributed as much as I have and ask them about me. They'll tell you that I am indeed an asshole.

Doesn't make me wrong though.

The Clover Coffee Machine - Hand Built By Stanford Engineers

therealblankman says...

I've had Clover coffee a couple of times (not at Starbucks). The first time was about five years ago, mostly because it was new, cool and exciting. The second time was about a year later, mostly because it was there.

There hasn't been a third time. I don't know, I just don't get it I suppose. For me it's like the Audiophile nutbars who swear that their new $2000 power cord is the greatest invention in hi-fidelity and has finally given meaning to their lives. A good french press brew, pour-over or Moka pot cuppa is fine by me.

Not at Starbucks.

Total Recall 2012 Teaser Trailer

I really hope this doesn't suck. The thing about Philip K. Dick's writing is that it's smart. He asks big and interesting questions and presents them in exciting but though-provoking scenarios. Most adaptations of his work have been straight-up action flicks, which are usually terrible. The Schwarzenegger version was actually one of the better ones, but the big questions are overshadowed by the fact that it's an Arnold movie, with all that entails.

The gold standard is still Blade Runner, and that's the stick by which I'll be measuring this film.

Like I said, I hope it doesn't suck.

Cons Refuse To Hand Over Call Records For Investigation

therealblankman says...

From Wikipedia "During the Canadian federal election, 2011, in Dean Del Mastro's Peterborough riding, robocalls were made under the name "Jeff", and originated from Jeff Westlake, the Conservative campaign manager in the riding. Voter confusion resulted, as the Liberal opponent was also named Jeff, and issued a statement to clarify he was not involved".

Also, Del Mastro accused the Liberal Party of using US firms to make their own Robo-calls during the 2011 election, this turned out to be completely false. Rather Del Mastro himself used an Ohio firm called "Front Porch Strategies" to make his own calls.
