A PC full of filth!

The inside of the front panel is still clogged with dust. Of course the entire system has a fine layer of dust coating it still. Clean that also, and with a couple of hours of reformatting, finding old drivers and installing a billion windows xp updates, you'll have a brand new Pentium 4 2.2Ghz system you can sell for $50!

the worst seems to be over. The game itself is well worth the hassle.

My single player game today was interrupted by some downtime for the server to restart for an update.. Once I logged back in 10 minutes later, I suffered some extreme lag for 5 more minutes. I'm not sure it's quite over yet.

Some of those tight, steep corners might be tricky, but I think you're right - for a downhiller this course would be pretty easy, just a bit rough on the body..

Ah em, It's Jon Stewart.

Thanks! I'll blame the fact that I can very rarely watch anything Daily Show cos it's all goddamned blocked, which I remain sore about even now!

Don't feel too bad. Comedy Central's video player is so fucked up that it can be a challenge to watch even from inside the US. It's so bad there's a Facebook group about it (http://www.facebook.com/FixThePlayerStewart) though it inexplicably claims the player's been fixed now.

Good, maybe they can work on the Canadian player. I've given up on Daily because skipping/fast forwarding/replaying and sometimes just normal watching can break the player, forcing you to start from the beginning (and re-watching the ads)...

I guess it's relative. If you're worried about damaging your bike/car, keep your distance for sure. If you're worried about your life, get as close as you can. If that truck slams on its brakes and you're right next to it, you'll hit the back with a non-lethal force and stick there for as long as the brakes are slammed on.
If I had to choose between this braking scenario on a bike, or some accident while base jumping, I'd choose the bike for sure. Although the chances of a trucker needing to slam on the brakes are probably more remote than having an accident in base jumping.

Of course, as messenger said, I'd be much more worried about debris and potholes...
