I think she was an ordinary member of the public, by her own words a "very shy person", who was made to look an incompetent fool in front of the worlds media, put in a position where she quite reasonably felt she had embarrassed the royal family, her employers and damaged the reputation of the hospital.

It sounds like the royals and hospital managers were understanding that it wasnt her fault but that probably came as no comfort in the night hours when she was wracked by guilt and shame.

When someone suicides its often difficult to see their problems as serious enough to die over but for the person in the middle of that turmoil thats the only way out.

While I dont think they bear any criminal responsibility for her death at the very least they shouldnt have done a prank like this for fear of getting some nurses fired.

This death is down to the Irish government, 6 or 7 of them, have been in power since the Supreme court ruled that a woman has the right to an abortion on medical grounds. They all did nothing and left it for the next crowd of useless fuckers to worry about.

Just a couple of months ago the "United Left Alliance" brought legislation forward that would have covered this situation but both government parties (Fine Gael and Labour) voted against together with most of the opposition. The current Taoiseach (Prime Minister) has said he wont legislate.

Medical terminations are performed in Irish hospitals (just read an interview with a Professor of Obstetrics who described how she performs it), unfortunately in a different hospital she may not have died, but theres no way of knowing which hospitals to go to because there is no clear laws, one Doctor may interpret things differently to another. Doctors differ and patients die.

Ireland has been a democracy for 90 years, the electorate (myself included) have to take responsibility for the continuing series of catastrophes and fuckups that are destroying the lives of people here.

You know how GTA3, Vice City, S.A. were all centered behind the player but in IV it was kinda "over the shoulder". Ruined the game for me. IS V going to be the same?

Funny how old games gave you a ton of options like that but modern ones are more restrictive for some reason.

I bought a SATA3 SSD recently for my OS/programs/couple of games and its well worth it. Power on to usable desktop in Windows 7 in less than 10 seconds. Still keep a RAID array of conventional disks for mass storage.

It really is a good upgrade for old computers, anything with a SATA port should show a big improvement over a HDD even if the SATA controller is only SATA1. In my experience they are backward compatible, they should just run at the lower speed of the controller*.
