I could only watch this video about halfway. I really hope this is not a televised debate on a major television network. The arguments on both sides aren't particularly well formed or compelling. I feel like I'm watching a high school debate team. Occam's razor wasn't really a good place to go either. It been used throughout history on both sides of the argument.

coolvideo7: I don't think he was trying to say that atheism is truth and people need to give up all other belief systems because they are untrue. He's talking about the ability to change you mind. The ability of a person's beliefs to change over time, to discard pieces that are no longer relevant and take up new ones. Say for example the ability to change ones mind about the origin of the universe when confronted with compelling evidence.

I understand what Olbermann is saying. Heck I agree with most of it. But he's just being as inflammatory as all those he's raging against. That's the problem, and it's just making things worse. He's rallying the bush supporters just as much as he is the bush detractors. It creates a 'with us or against us' atmosphere that keeps people from ever really thinking about what's really going on, and it's this lack of thought that allows Bush and his regime to do as they please.

At least that's what I tell myself at night to allay the fear that America really is that stupid.

So that's where vegetarians come from...
