I'd like to see a follow-up for potential long term effects or recovery time.

I think Deus Ex is at the top of that list, and he has referenced it as being a good game before. Then again that might just be my wishful thinking and longing as I enjoyed Deus Ex.

If Captain Picard were a D&D character, his alignment would be Chaotic Good.
I don't know about that. Kirk is chaotic good; Picard I always saw as Lawful, if not neutral.
I'm hard pressed to think of any non-lawful Next-gen characters.

Microsoft's Surface Computing Table In Action
While it does have the 'nifty' feel, it comes off more as a 'proof of concept' than a finished product in this video. The stuttering and loading was already mentioned. Another facet is often times you can tell what the user wanted to do, and more often than not his first instinct on how was wrong. Granted, he was interfacing with it most like it was a desktop computer, but then again, that's what it is most closely related to.
Outside In

When religion stops butting into science, we will.

Gorgon, all I did was point out this was propaganda. I would have said the same thing is this was Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Voodoo, or even FSM. There is no need to get defensive.
From a scientific stand-point, one assumes non-existance until proven otherwise. We cannot state abosolutely that there are no gods, but the lack of evidence places the chance very low; the same with fairies, bigfoot, and teapots orbiting the earth.
Finally, atheism is not a religion nor a unified group. We have no common goals, agenda, or even culture. You will find the zealous atheists would wish no-one believed in god, but most of us simply want those are religious to stop shoving thier religion down our throats.
