OccupyTimesSquare - 1 Marine vs. 30 Cops
>> ^Duckman33:
First, you get a fucking clue. I know what's going on in the news and have seen several beating tapes. My point is THESE COPS are doing nothing wrong. So why take it out on THEM?! find some that ARE doing something wrong and yell at THEM!
Here is a tip for you. If you watch this video you'll see the Times Square BoA neon in the background. This video was shot shortly after many of the other Times Sq video where these same riot gear cops are beating on protesters. You might even see the video where they remove barricades and run horses into a wall of people who have nowhere to move to.
I think anyone walking around on Oct15 near Times Sq would have seen these cops being abusive to peaceful protesters, and hence what motivated this marine to speak out to the cops asking them WTF are they doing.

>> ^Duckman33:
Until I see the video showing what happened prior to this to start him yelling at them, I stand by my comment. If nothing happened, then he should find cops that are actively abusing folks and yell at them some.
Wow, just because you are completely ignorant of the news, you go full ostrich.
Get a clue. Watch some news or videos. This footage was shot during the march to Times Square on Oct 15th. If you would like footage of NYPD cops man-handling peaceful protest during the last month, those videos are available also.

It is amazing looking at those cops faces. Funny, if that was some kid with dredlocks the cops would have been shoving him with a baton.
Who owns the police? OWS CITI BANK ARRESTS
Unfortunately, people have spun this arrest into an untruth.
Sadly, the police was warranted in arresting them for disorderly conduct. They were told to leave and then proceeded to yell in the bank for 5 minutes. There were undercover cops in the crowd and they told the bank to lock the doors until enough police arrived.
The actual in-bank protest video is here;

Who owns the police? OWS CITI BANK ARRESTS
Citibank statement -- “A large amount of protesters entered our branch at 555 La Guardia Place around 2:00 PM today. They were very disruptive and refused to leave after being repeatedly asked, causing our staff to call 911. The Police asked the branch staff to close the branch until the protesters could be removed. Only one person asked to close an account and was accommodated.”
From what I read only two of the protesters went to close accounts. The other 28 stood there chanting and shouting stuff about student loans. They didn't leave for about 5 mins when the bank then locked some of them in that didn't leave.
What is shocking is, how can you arrest someone OUTSIDE the bank for trespass? and then forcibly drag them inside. Also, didn't CITI violate illegal imprisonment laws? I mean how can someone be trespassing if you lock them inside? So you call 911 because you are ?scared and then lock them inside with you?
I Am Not Moving - Occupy Wall Street

Never said I was talking about elected officials.
very nice comment, though I guess dictator is the wrong word. plutocracy is better.
I Am Not Moving - Occupy Wall Street
From the authors comments on YT:
I appreciate your thoughts, just wanna be sure all is clear with the video. It is NOT a comparison, rather a WARNING that if the police keep repressing people's rights, America COULD turn into Egypt. If the police arrest the War Vets who risked their lives to protect the police, how long can you Americans stand for this?! It is their blood that makes USA possible. All americans should agree and demand a stop to arrests now. The First amendment trumps local ordinances.

I install a portable FF for some of these horrible places (usually NBC/Universal websites)
My hunch is that if you have HTTP Referrer blocked (which everyone should) these don't play even though they are in flash...
It may also be if you have that magic /etc/hosts file there is some tracking place that is blocked.
In reply to this comment by Boise_Lib:
Does this not play for anyone else?
I even disabled Adblock, but only this plays for a second.
[Edit] Never mind, it plays now.
[Edit Edit] Nope, just the ad played--now nothing. Ah, well.

Drunk driver campaigns for Ron Paul
>> ^Yogi:
Who cares if he's acting or not? Do you libertarians actually think that we believe he's coherently spouting your political views? If he's drunk he's a drunk moron...he's not drunk therefore libertarians are stupid.
God you guys are such fucking babies.
the point is that the ceo for fox reality channel takes over natgeo which then airs what appears to be a bad actor trying to disparage Ron Paul or his supporters. He didn't look like someone at 0.3bac
