Me 262 training video

I could never fly this thing well in any of the WW2 flight sims it's available in. When going at high speed, it was too difficult to line up shots with enemy bombers. I guess the best tactic was to do slashing attacks. Just fly fast, shoot, hope to get a few hits in, fly away, then try again.

If I slowed down to take a nice accurate shot, I'd get gunned down by enemy fighter escorts. Another problem, regardless of if I stayed fast or slowed down, was the amount of gunner fire coming from the bomber formations. It really chewed me up after one or two bomber kills.

Ehhh... he spent too much time reviewing the game from a single player perspective. It'd be like reviewing one of the Battlefield games and then complaining about the AI being dumb in the offline mode.

Tucker Carlson Attacks Jon Stewart Over Jim Cramer

jerryku says...

Tucker Carlson was wearing a bowtie back when Stewart made fun of him for it.
Now... no bowtie. Haha.

I'm a huge Stewart fan but I'm skeptical about whether or not he can really go after Obama in a way that he might want to. I'm sure his audience demographic data shows a very big lean towards Obama supporters. It would be difficult to make any big changes, as the ratings could suffer dramatically.

hearing Jon Stewart put it that way, I kinda think the human race probably wants some blood from the G8 countries. I mean if we live in a hierarchical capitalist global economy, and if the top of that hierarchy is to blame for most of its current problems... then the bulk of the human race is gonna be pissed and looking upwards. You gotta wonder how this whole mess is going to influence global politics in the decades to come. Probably nothing big will happen... but hmmm

Doug Stanhope on Nationalism

jerryku says...

People like to take credit for their ancestor's "good" things, but refuse to take credit for their sins. For example, D-day... "my grandpa did that! Yeah! He stormed Normandy, sniped an MG-42 crew, and then liberated France. YEAH!!!"

Meanwhile... "Sure my great great grandpa had a few slaves... but that was a long time ago. I had nothing to do with that. Stop blaming me! Damn!!! Leave me alone!"

Either you take credit for all the good and bad things of your forefathers, or you take credit for none of it. I think the latter view is the better way to go.
