While doing call-center work is on par with working in the mines, and more education is never bad, the myth that what you do for a living defines you is just that, a myth. There is a lot of good you can do with the money you make or the free time you have. I have a corporate job, but I can do it while being a positive influence in the world. I do have to compensate for my contribution to evil corporates, but at least I don't waste the time I have left being one of their cow-consumers. Selling out is bullshit, but it does give you some freedom to do other things.
And why is Trivers a tool? He seems ok. His papers are interesting, and even our god Chomsky doesn't seem to mind him. So to slam him seems a little like ranting.

Hi Fedquip, I really enjoyed TAYTV, but when you people there told me about videosift I must say I never looked back. I do still enjoy your entries here, as you manage to touch on subjects which are a bit deeper than the other ones here. I'll see if I can add some interesting stuff here as well. Keep it up!!
