I gotta say, I like the new Ubuntu Unity desktop in 11.04, but it's true that theres some room for improvements.

That poor guy most likely had no hand in the shutdown of the WikiLeaks servers, I don't see how he deserves to be heckled. Also, it's just a (conspiracy) theory that they shut down the WikiLeaks servers because of the US Gov't, or because of massive DDOS attacks.

Very likely Amazon told the guy to refer to their statement if any questions about WikiLeaks arise. I dunno, it's a free seminar, don't ruin it for the people who actually go there for constructive reasons.

I think it's a pretty bad idea to have a "10 votes for a ban" link or any such thing. If it is being installed we're gonna need more guidelines and rules, as well as repercussions when abusing the feature that is supposed to stop abuse and so on ...

I'm not sure any policing (especially of profile comments) is even necessary. I mean we're all grown-ups here, no? Sticks and stones anyone? Don't like how someone is talking to you on here? Just use the ignore function, problem solved. No policing, no dag screening profile messages, no unnecessary drama. Of course when you ignore someone, that someone shouldn't be able to leave messages on your profile anymore.

These endless ideological debates are so pointless. In the end the centrists do all the work.
