Pomme Fritz was Orbs first bad album. If your not familiar with Orb then I suggest checking out The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld which is considered one of the most important albums of the 90's, a real classic.

This was probably the result of a cancer or possibly necrotizing fasciitis (commonly called the flesh eating bug and usually caused by steptococcus). The interviewer asks him if they got it all which suggests a tumour, probably a very aggresive type.
