I think you miss the point. It's not that this isn't possible in the original game, it's that the feats of timing are likely programmed as in those once-common speed runs which would get posted. Someone is just having more fun with the technology. Go watch a Zelda 2 speedrun and then try to do it on the NES.

I think I must be the only person who prefers the American version of the Office (yes, I've watched both).
