F-111 Belly Landing
It's "Peter Komar" and "Luke Warner": http://www.defence.gov.au/news/raafnews/editions/4813/topstories/story01.htm
"Peter Coma" and "Luke Warmer"
...sounds made up to me.
Innuendo Bingo with Gerard Butler
He's already got "become semi-famous for interviewing Mila Kunis" ticked off.
When I first heard this on the podcast, it wasn't as funny as I find most episodes of this game, although most don't involve such big celebrities.
That guy can finally tick off his list of things to do before he dies: "Get spit on by Gerard Butler"
Six Year Old B-Girl Terra Destroys Her Dance Battle Opponent
18 years ago, that's what they said about me and The Macarena. Look where it got me.
That is the world's coolest 6 year old. She is going to be an amazing b-dancer
What Is Light? Young's Double Slit Experiment
Did you watch until the very end of the video? There's a bit more information.
Yeah. They forgot to address the whole, "It's a wave AND a particle" problem.
Robot Chicken - The Story of Starbucks
As I understand it, this is quite close to the truth, at least the reason why the mermaid/siren/melusine has two tails (if you're going to have a sexy seducing creature, it needs to be... compatible).
Ryan Gosling Gets Embarrassed by a Dish Towel
He could have said thank you...
Flipping the Bird to the Judge - not a good idea
siftbot says...
Invocations (related=http://videosift.com/video/Teen-Who-Flipped-Off-Judge-Gives-Emotional-Apology) cannot be called by iaui because iaui is not privileged - sorry.
And this is how we maintain class distinctions. We have to keep the plebs in their place or else they'll be making a rabble and making in uncomfortable to for good patricans to keep their high-power jobs.
A dramatic surprise on an ice-cold day - Push to add DRAMA!
I wonder if anything was different for blue.
World's first ever tablet with vanishing liquid keyboard
Neat feature with potential.
1) Can the buttons be raised anywhere? This could potentially improve feedback for the visually impaired, and for controllers in D-pad style games.
2) I don't think it's possible with this, but if it had the ability to create many very small bumps anywhere, it could be used to dynamically convert text to Braille for the blind.
StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm Opening Cinematic
Probably the closest RTS games I can think of to this scale are things like the Total Annihilation series (loads of units) and the spiritual successors Supreme Commander and Supreme Commander 2 (loads of units and a large difference in scale between some of them).
There's nothing comparable to the Battle Cruiser in this clip, but there are units that are hugely different in size, like the Ultralisks shown here.
I'm being nitpicky, but the cinematic is great and it kind of makes you think "wow, that WOULD be a cool game" and then you have to go and play SC2, which admittedly is still a very, very well designed game.
Slow Motion Great White Shark Attack
May I ask what shore they're close to? The commentator sounded South African to my untrained ears (apologies if that's incorrect), but they could have been filming somewhere else.
Behind the Scenes at a McDonald's Photo Shoot
Another good one that I remembered on Videosift where they go in to quite a bit of detail here.
Japanese mini burger meal kit - wtf? And I mean MINI
>> ^Shepppard:
I really have to think this is just like candy, right?
This is just sugar, right? Biting into that burger is just gonna be like eating some jelly or whatnot, right?
I think that's what I'd like to see, someone making this, and then describing what it tastes like after.
The original post says it was delicious and contains pork and chicken, so unlikely to be just sugar. I think it's just dried powdered ingredients.
I wouldn't expect it to taste that great though, it probably just tastes better when you have to work so hard for it!
Tenacious D - To Be The Best
I think that Fenix may actually be a Phallix. Or perhaps a Fenis.
Cheeky, but clever, McDonalds advert
I didn't realise there were so many, I've only seen them in NY and NJ, when visiting. They're very well known there.
>> ^Sagemind:
Actually, no, I go to this new place that just opened up called "Five Guys Burgers & Fries."
All hamburgers are double pattied and $3 gets you enough fresh cut fries to feed a family of four. And while you wait for your meal, non stop, all you can eat, salted peanuts in the shell. YUM!
