Zero Punctuation: Half-Life

Xax says...

I think the game stands the test of time. What Yahtzee says about the first half hour of the game having no action in it is bang-on. It really helps set the tone. As I recall, Half-Life was (one of?) the first games ever to really feel like the real world. It felt like you were in a real place. That's taken for granted these days, but back then, it was a marvel.

MAN, I haven't anticipated a movie so much in a very long time. This movie just looks like how movies are supposed to be made... like how they used to be made.

Golden Balls - Fantastic Split or Steal

Xax says...

I proposed this tactic last year:

I wonder if it would be legally binding to say, "If I win the full amount, I agree to split half of it with you." In which case, he could've said that, and added, "I'm going to choose steal, so best if you choose split."

Here, the host says, "There's no legal requirement for him to give you the money." Doesn't Britain have verbal contracts?

at 4:45 he says 2011 is off the charts but really it's only off the charts based on the general direction. If you follow the lines increase and compare the distance from the 2011 dot to it, it's no more further out than other years that reach out and above the line. This is my problem with global warming charts. I mean no one really puts forth evidence that is clear because if you follow that line back in time I'm sure as a whole movement it fluctuates with smaller fluctuations locally as seen in the chart he shows.
