Wow. Oddly enough, this killed my nerd rage. I've been boiling since Greedo, worse and worse and worse... but now, I just no longer feel any urge to watch SW anymore. Not even the untouched originals. It's just empty there now. Kind of peaceful, really. Saves me a good amount of $$.

Wow, Demo comps are still going on? I used to love these things back in the '90s when they were pushing the limits of pre-hardware-accelerated graphics.

A sportbike can get away from a pickup, period, IF you're prepared to ride like a bat out of hell for an indefinite amount of time. But looking at that nice, fairly twisty road, those guys were out there to enjoy the corners, not to see how much time they could log at 160. Corners are where the fun (and the skill) is.

Besides, travelling together limits your options--if you want to ditch the truck, you need to get your friend past him too, and then both take off. You don't want to zoom off and just hope the truck didn't give up on you, and go kill your buddy instead.

I haven't seen this show for ages but it looks like it might be getting a tad silly.

If it's any comfort, right after this vid, he gets called out and ridiculed by a 12-year-old kid who has "seen a bunch of old movies." He tries to steal scenes from a couple other movies and gets caught and mocked again each time.
