Westboro Cult Child Abuse

Tracon says...

Kim Jong is the leader of North Korea not Vietnam. Either way i don't understand the connection of gay people and soldiers and flags. Clearly this family is a pain unto its self and takes pot shots at others. But choggie i would hand you the bullet or take the shot my self to kill Kim Jong but there is a problem with that. They have 150,000 artillery pieces pointing at Seoul (population 10 million) plus massive amounts of chemical weapons enough to kill all of those people. South Korea has a population of 49 million with 26 million in North Korea. Not to mention a 1 million man army in the North, granted equipped with the 1970's trash from the Soviets and China but there is still more than enough to cause huge and massive casualty's in South Korea. The 30,000 American troops at the boarder are just a speed bump to slow them down enough to make sure there is still a landing zone for the NATO troops. So its down to allowing a nut case to kill and in slave 26 million or risk getting 10 million South Korean citizens killed and that would be in the opening minutes of any conflict.

Alanis Morissette - My Humps (surprisingly good parodycover)

A few of my friends liked the first song now that i played them this version. They can no longer listen to it or enjoy the original, because they know the words now. I always thought the original was sad, fucking pedestrian, banal, uninspired, unimaginative, X (X=thesaurus:search"pablum") turned into this amazing parody of one of the worst songs to ever be played. Finally people can see this bullshit for what it is.

Any time anyone needs a little bit of inspiration watch some Carl Sagan. The sooner we all realise were just a bit of mildly intelligent bacteria on the side of an electron the better off we all are.

One bomb that can take out 40 tanks in a 500-1200 ft area

Tracon says...

@ Fuses aren't the problem its the explosive degrading over time that is the problem. As all explosives degrade including HE it becomes more unstable over time. There is no way you could manufacture 5000 bomblets per cluster bomb and not have some fail. If there's to sensitive and the cloud explodes before it hits the ground. Plus the economy of scale means the fuse's need to be cheap to manufacture or you might as well just make 1000 pounders or rockets. The biggest problem with cluster bombs happens years later when some kids play in that field were the battle was and find a little cylinder and play with it. That's why there being banned. Even if there coloured orange and the explosive sign was plastered all over them i guarantee you kids will play with them.

@ NordlichReiter Retroactive doesn't mean what you think it means. You mean Reactive armor. Reactive armor uses an explosive to push the explosive charge away from the the tank. Things like EFP and HEAT rounds that us liquid metal to cause the majority of damage can't penetrate because of the force being thrown back at the enemy explosive. The problem is they are panels. And once a panel is used up it has to be replaced. It would be hard to hit the same target twice in the same spot but the panels are large enough that it is definitely possible using shoulder fired rockets and missiles at close range within a city.

This entire show is nice but honestly every time i see it, it screams marketing by company's and less about what will actual see action. Not to mention the guy needs to calm down seriously you don't need epic music and epic narration every time. If its being researched and tested now it might see action in 5 years. Plus only a very small fraction will actually be bought by the DoD.

Your thinking of Sun Tzu "The Art of War" It was poetry not letters. It doesn't really work in English though.

I have to agree with farhad2000. The bomb throwing from both sides is drowning out every reasonable idea, thought and there potential.

Marinara No matter your views I guarantee you violate your own morality and personal ethics on a daily basis. If you purchase anything from China you are helping them pay for abortions (not always by choice mind you) or pay for the bullets that cut down 12 defenceless civilians in the hills in Tibet. The fund you speak of uses there stock to get onto boards and shareholders meetings to voice there concern and ask for change. 1000 men yelling at a building and holding signs does nothing but 1 man in a shareholders meeting can demand answers and look for solutions.

No one is perfect and its not something that can be attained if you believe it can your not any where near reality.

Our Planet Is Expanding... Apparently

Tracon says...

Chaucer i'd like to try and answer your posts. The best i can.

#2 i don't know right now but I'll try to find an answer.

#3 Just because something heats up doesn't mean it expands just means there's more energy in the system that's all.

#4 The fact that the earth was covered in salt water isn't guess work, and the blue-green algae is still around today. Oxygen is one of its natural byproducts. More Oxygen is put into the atmosphere by these same algae today than all of the forests in the world combine. It also has a cousin usually referred to as the red tide. It kills all of the fish in the area because it consumes all of the oxygen and gets rid of it into the air and not back into the water.

#5 If mass is gained then gravity must all so increase. They are bound together by the law's of physics. F=mg (force=mass*gravity) That fact alone destroys this idea so completely. We know what the mass of the earth and the moon are and can build models to show there effects on each other. And every year the moon drifts 30cm away from us. That's not much but in 5 million years we will no longer have a moon. If this idea was correct the moon should be getting closer each year because of the expansion and the increase in gravity over time. So for this to be true no mass is gained but the moon should still be getting closer to us because of the expansion but its not. The Apollo missions put mirrors on the moon and ground based lasers get shot at them then the time to return is calculated and every year its drifts 30cm away from us. So wave good bye while you still can.

Another point i just thought of is the fact that the core of the earth is active and produces and electromagnetic field around the earth that blocks the suns radiation as best it can. if the core or the earth were increasing in size wouldn't that field also increase at a constant rate as apposed to the one we have now that fluctuates and has switched direction at least 3 times now. We can tell it has changed poles because of molten iron deposits from volcano's millions of years ago have there own magnetic fields backwards and some with very little fields at all.

Its an interesting idea but nothing more. It was fun to think about counter arguments to it.

Our Planet Is Expanding... Apparently

Tracon says...

1. Where else were the Upper Tectonic plates going to meet up the moon? Of course they fit together.

2. Where the fuck did all that water come from? And this doesn't explain the fact that it is salty with only a small percentage being of the not salty variety.

3. The earth has tons of space dust land on it every year. Something like 15 tons that's not nearly enough to do any real "expansion" of any significance for something the size of a planet.

4. The earth was covered in water for a great deal of time and it was the first single cell organisms that gave us the oxygen concentration we have now. But they live in salt water so no.

5. Gravity

This fails for more reasons than this. These are just the reasons i could think of right now.
