Stephen Colbert does It Gets Better video. Does it real.

This is true and false. I knew many bullies who hurt people because they could--and it didn't matter if you showed them "feeling" or not. It didn't matter if you "gave" them dick, they took it regardless. Colbert is noting the vocal abuse, but there is a lot more than that.

Of course it doesn't always work, but he has a very good point in that if we re-frame the meaning of a word it will have less power over us. Similarly if we manage to change how someone else perceives a word we affect them. "Santorum" is a good way of illustrating that point.

Pretty nice. What I like the most, though, is not the reaction of the audience, but the way the man actually seems to be happy. If he truly has autism then that is a pretty rare sight, which warms my heart . A bit tricky with people with autism though. Some laugh, even though they are miserable.

Considering how important the muscles in the face are for communication of emotions both to others and to oneself this might give pretty horrifying consequences both in relationships, as well as cognitive and emotional development. If I met a person who did this I would instantly contact the authorities.

It's the classic hypocrisy of the tea-party. On one hand, they cry about people not following the Constitution and on the other, they want the gubment to regulate drugs, wombs, and nuptials.
I'm surprised Ron Paul can claim membership in the Tea Party with a straight face.
