VFX Artist Shows You TRUE POWER of Warships!

Sagemind says...

Way too mush positive enthusiasm for a machine that is purely made to kill people. These human killing machines are brutal in their efficiency. I almost feel like the music should be a sound of dred with a somber tone explanation. Discussing them as entertainment seems wrong to me. Not only that, but this is the decommissioned ship, they didn't even get to the more modern ships which can kill way more people, more accurately, and at greater distances.

Of course, this is all to promote a video game, and they want you excited to buy and play their game, and pump them full of micro-payments. I also know their are people that thrive on guns and killing, but as a human being, to me, this seems very uncomfortable.

No, I'm not anti-video game, just anti-realism in video games and killing people. Give me Aliens and sci-fi, or demons and monsters any day

Tiny Bombs in your Blood - The Complement System

Sagemind says...

Sure Sure, But I've seen quite a lot on this, and explained in more depth by more educated people in a simpler fashion and using microscopic video.

This guy trys, and the animation is interesting but it's like reading a book with every second page missing. You don't know what you're missing unless you already know it.

Or, in better terms, this is like a book report made about a book he's read lately. I appreciate the study which has gone into it, but it's very paraphrased.... which is sort of his style.

Each to their own, I thought it was great. It's a small glimpse into the mind bogglingly complexity of biological systems that most people have no idea even exist.

Tiny Bombs in your Blood - The Complement System

Sagemind says...

Kurzgesagt has a history of taking something overly complicated and simplifying it to the point where it looses it's meaning and slips into fantasy-land. With this video, it bridges too many concepts and strings them together, until it becomes unsure what the actual path is.

It does handle a more complex occurrence, so It tries, but it loses it's momentum as it gets going because it consists of too many gaps in facts to complete a proper narrative.

So, this is obviously pulled from selected data.
Is this pulled from within the US? A specific state?
All of North America? (doubtful)

This definitely doesn't cover Europe , and most definitely doesn't include Asian countries.

I find it's interesting that the top names all pull from the Bible. It gets more diverse into the 2000s but even Noah isn't breaking from tradition.

When your daughters new shorts are shorter than you expected

Sagemind says...

Personally, I think the dad is just attention grabbing since seeing other people do it online, it's just a dumb trend.

As a father, I really don't think her shorts are too short - and definitely not shorter than every other teen girl is wearing, her shorts cover her cheeks which is pretty fair game. They look absolutely average.

If he thinks they are too short, then maybe he needs to curb his thinking.
