Daffy Duck is a Lazy Metal Wizard
Daffy isn't stupid. He just doesn't give a shit. He, more than any other character, defines his own reality, even if that reality only exists in his head. This clip gives you a glimpse of that, but the rest of the episodes explore that theme even more. He does what he wants and doesn't care much what other people think. This is what makes him awesome, but there's ramifications as well.
It's a fairly mature concept for a 'kids' cartoon (as iTunes categorizes it). That's partly why I think the show is brilliant. This isn't a show that simply recreates the old cartoons, nor does it try to make the Looney Tunes into a more modern kids cartoon. This show is squarely aimed at people who grew up with these cartoons and are now ready to see how those characters act in more mature situations. Yes, to a certain degree, it is basically Seinfeld with Looney Tunes characters. But I'm OK with that. It's a nice blend. And a hell of alot better than Space Jam.
