My first technic lego set was a bunch of gears and a motor with one of the models being a multi-speed gearbox. Had no idea what it was until my dad explained it.

Not that it paid off later but building it and adapting it into other awesome models was the most interesting thing I got out of my first 6 years of education other than basic literacy.

This guy is awesome. He is getting fit and making some awesome 'tube copy. What makes me sad is his apartment, which is even worse than the one I had in Japan. My wife and I were able to fit furniture in it and even use a real bed! (Though folding it up makes more sense, this dude does not even have a cupboard for his futon!) And we had a balcony to store all our rubbish whilst we worked out how to dispose of it without bringing down great(er) gaijin shame on ourselves.

Rule by thuggery, It's worked well in the past and will work forever in Iran unless the opposition movement gets militant and goes all civil war on the government, which will be probably as destructive as an invasion (But with better results as freedom earned tends to be better appreciated). The peaceful protest stuff only works in a climate/culture conducive to the powers that be having some sense of shame or responsibility like the Czech and East German authorities eventually developed. Can't see that happening here for some reason...
